Over some holiday downtime, I revisited my photos

Over some holiday downtime, I revisited my photos from my trip to India about this time last year. Talk about gratitude! That was the experience of a lifetime and provided me with enough creative fuel for a decade. This mural at the Amer Fort in Jaipur is everything to me-a true North Star for beauty. Going back to the pre-Christmas grind tomorrow and am going to try to hold the memories of this special journey front and center. Wishing you all luck with reentry 🧡.

I feel lucky to be able to source and buy so much phenomenal art. My picks span a wide range of genres, mediums, styles and even price points. When I’m asked what draws me to certain pieces, I find it difficult to articulate what is captivating or “good” that ultimately leads me to select a work. I was an art history major and worked in galleries, but still, it often just comes down to a gut feeling or visceral reaction when I see a piece -well before I know anything about its provenance. That was the case with this badass beauty right here. Huge props to my art sourcing wingwoman @cadesignerpwid for finding this amazing artist @rominaressia . The girl with the pink helmet was meant to be in this room.
