Like so many of us outside LA, I have such a strong desire to help in any way possible and have felt helpless on the sidelines.

Thankfully, @theexpert has launched a Rebuild Hotline where those affected can schedule free one hour consultations with designers. Collectively, there is knowledge of every aspect of home building and we are here and ready to help-whether that is today, tomorrow or months down the line.

If you or anyone you know has been impacted by the horrific LA fires, please share this link with them. Whenever they are able to tackle the daunting task of rebuilding, our design community wants to help. Whether someone wants help finding furnishings fast, selecting a contractor or even just to cry with someone who knows it was not just “stuff”, we are here for you. Even if you cannot fathom embarking today, please fill out the request and we will talk when you are ready.

I think of all the rooms I might love to have, a sun porch ranks number one. This one in Tahoe gets beautiful light year round and stays cool in the summer and is cozy in the winter with a roaring fire. It is the perfect place to read a book, play a game or share some cocktails with friends. Santa, are you listening?
